James Robinson-Parran has been active as a composer, Music Director, Conductor, Pianist, Songwriter and Soloist in the Chicago-land area. Some notable performances and appearances include: commissions from the Chicago Composers Forum; appearances at the Chicago Jazz Fest, the Lied Center in Nebraska, the Double Door, and the Harris Theater; a collaboration with Lyric Opera Unlimited, as well as creative work with Phillip Glass, Andy Williams, Morton College, Circle Theater, The Jeff Kowalkowski Ensemble, Lucky Pierre, and many others.

James holds a Bachelors of Music from DePaul University and a Masters of Arts in Music from Concordia University Chicago. He currently is a lecturer at Daley College, and Accompanist for the Triton College Choir as well as an in demand freelance musician.
